I'm sorry to keep everyone waiting for an update and pictures of Jia. I am getting a full taste of how busy life becomes with an infant! She is gorgeous! Truly. I'm attaching some pictures but they really don't do her justice. She is the most gentle baby I've ever encountered (so far - I'm sure we'll get full force at some point). We were able to ask a few questions of the orphanage director and she described Jia as having a very gentle and shy nature. So far that seems accurate. She did not cry for the first 24 hours we had her and even when she has cried she has been consolable. She slept through the night last night - although I can't say the same for the mom and dad. We kept getting up just to make sure she was ok. She seems very healthy and just perfect. I'll keep this post short as I hear her stirring from her nap. We'll keep you posted!

Beth and T - She took my breath away as the page came up. WOW, she is beautiful and she has HAIR!!!!! Sorry T. As you begin this new phase in your journey, hold on tight, the ride has just begun. Can't wait to see more pictures and hear all about her and your "new" adventures.
What a gorgeous little pumpkin!! I am so glad to hear what a great personality she has and slept ALL night - what a treat. Can't wait to meet her. Looking forward to hearing more about her...Congrats!
I am so very excited for both of you and your new family. Jia is beautiful and it sounds as if you have been blessed with a child with a calm disposition.
I will start making hair bows immediately as her hair looks thick and healthy!

Beth...don't get too concerned about the FOS thing. I am being told that was VERY common. Just love the fact you get to enjoy watching all the development and it will come quickly just because she now has a mom and dad that will take ALL the time in the world with her.
She is such a cutie. I love those little kicking feet. Tell her I am going to get those toes.

I know that you must be just crazy in love with her from the first time you held her in your arms, and she has to feel the love you have for her.

It is so wonderful to see you, sweet little sister, with a daughter of your own. Even my oldest son, who at 17 is blase about EVERYTHING, delayed going to the gym last night so he could have his turn to talk with you and see his newest cousin via the webcam. We are thrilled for all of you!
