One evening in China when we dined at a traditional Chinese restaurant we were served, among other things, pickled cucumber. It was delicious. I didn't even question what I was eating because it was actually something I liked. When we returned to our room Grandma Barbara naturally wanted to call dad (we used Skype and it is beyond words - if you don't know about it - well, Google it - it's worth it - every call we made from China to another computer with a Skype account was free and included video). We told him what we had for dinner. He asked the question - "what's the difference between a pickled cucumber and a pickle?". I love my dad. And clearly so does Jia. I believe Grandpa has charmed our daughter - wouldn't you agree?
