Happy Beautiful Baby

Jia is growing by leaps and bounds and seems more comfortable in her new home everyday. I say this based on her general sense of happiness and growing demands! She is confident that her mom and dad will meet her needs and she is getting more comfortable asserting her personality which just makes me so, so happy. She has been a pretty laid back kid from day one and she remains so however she does have a strong personality and this makes my heart sing! We had a visit with the international adoption doc and she is very pleased with Jia's progress and overall health. We've managed to load 11 oz. on to her little frame in only 3 weeks and the doc says just keep doing what we're doing - Jia remains underweight although you wouldn't know that by looking at her. Jia loves WordWorld, Sesame Street and Dora. I keep these programs on in the house when we are here so that there is noise in the house (boring house with no other kids here!) and you should see the way she wrinkles up her nose and bounces and laughs when the map starts singing "I'm the map, I'm the map" and when swiper tries to swipe stuff! It's delightful. I'm working from home while continuing our bonding and this creates incredible challenges for the mom but I've learned the true meaning of multi-tasking and can now do things with one hand that I never knew were possible! Life is good.
