I'm posting a few pictures of some of Jia's extended family. She is surrounded by love by her grandpartents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Not to mention her parents. If love can work wonders she has a great environment to thrive. We can't wait until her Illinois cousins and Aunt and Uncle visit us in July! On the home front everything remains great. I'll admit to a minor breakdown this morning. Well, breakdown may be too strong but the mom did shed a few tears after a poor night's sleep and a baby who woke an hour earlier than usual. The dad was there to take the helm and he got Jia up, changed, entertained and fed while the mom spent a few minutes feeling sorry for herself and taking a much needed hot shower. Besides a diaper that went on backwards (Jia had to explain to her dad the right way to do it) all went swimmingly and they are outside enjoying a beautiful morning. I felt a little guilty when I came downstairs and T just said I needed to check in with Rachel if I wanted to remember how to throw a proper tantrum! (I used to teach Rachel how to throw a proper tantrum - it involved throwing oneself onto the floor and flailing all limbs while screaming - my brother and sister-in-law will forever be indebted to me for that - I'm sure!) You can see how beautiful her cousins are - I've not captured her cousin Dave here nor her gorgeous out of town cousins. But you can see their beauty comes directly from their mom Lisa and dad Dave. Love to all. (For all checking Jia's progress - these pics were taken about 3 weeks ago - Jia's grown so much since then - she's over 16 lbs now!).
