Oh yes, Jia has eaten 2 WHOLE containers of organic baby sweet potatoes in the past two days! I would never have believed 2 months ago how giddy such an event would make me! I made the mistake of monkeying around with Jia's formula two days ago and did we ever both suffer the consequences. Never again. She likes her present formula so I'm not changing it again. Ever. Since Jia didn't seem to have a problem with the banana pudding with tons of cream I thought I'd once again try to see if she would like a milk based brand. No way. I was formally initiated a mom when she threw up 5 oz. of formula all over me. I felt so sorry for her and like a horrible mom. But now her tummy is all better and she seems ravenously hungry - thank goodness - b/c we had one full day where she would not eat much of anything. And she is not like her mom and dad who can certainly stand to miss a meal - she's too little to miss any calories! Terrell said I would be just as angry if someone tried to sneak a little Bowman's into my martini in place of Kettle One and his point was very well taken!!! :)
As you can see from the pics she continues to grow and explore. And I hope she can see what a beauty she is as she looks in the mirror! She really is standing in that one pic. The challenge was trying to get a picture of it while holding on. She is shaky but strong and she wants to grab our fingers and stand all the time. I even let her stand next to the coffee table and she balanced herself so incredibly well all by herself! She actually used one hand to grab the receipt I was using as a bookmark out of the new David Sedaris book I'm reading! Of course I was hovering with arms all around just in case but she stood like a trooper! The final picture is of her this morning leaving with her dad to be dropped at her Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dave's house to play with her cousins today. Which means I need to end this post and get to work!! I miss her already! The age old working mom dilemma.
